Day 1: Arrival in Burlington
Welcome to Vermont! After arriving in Burlington, make your way to your hotel to get settled in.
Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Vermont

An all-day foliage tour introduces you to Vermont’s delicious local fare and small towns.
- Stop in Stowe to enjoy a guided tour of the Trapp Family Lodge with a member of the Von Trapp family.
- See how apple cider is produced during a visit to a cider mill and enjoy a tasting of the refreshing drink.
- Tour the Ben & Jerry’s Factory and enjoy samples of ice cream in Waterbury.
Join your group for a welcome dinner this evening.
White Mountains Region, New Hampshire1 night
Day 3: Transfer to the White Mountains Region
Included meals: Breakfast, Tasting, Wine tasting
Travel east to New Hampshire today, taking in breathtaking scenery as you go.
- Before leaving Vermont, pay a visit to a sugarbush to learn about Vermont maple syrup production.
- Stop at a local family-owned sugar shack stand for sugaring presentation.
- Enjoy free time to explore the sugar shack’s grounds and for a chance to shop for locally made maple and sugar products.
- Pass through the White Mountains, stopping at the Franconia Notch along the way.
- Drive through the landscapes of the state’s most famous scenic byway, the Kancamagus Highway.
This evening, make your way to the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, a National Historic Landmark used as a retreat from former presidents to poets to celebrities.
- Take time to stroll the grounds on a leisurely, self-guided tour where you’ll visit the Great Hall to the Jewell Terrace, which was designed with indigenous plants from the White Mountains.
- Sit down for a tasting of local cheeses paired with wine before continuing on to your hotel.
Portland, Maine2 nights
Day 4: Portland via Mt. Washington

Make your way to Mount Washington, located in the scenic White Mountains.
- Board the Mount Washington Cog Railway for a beautiful ride to the region’s highest summit.
- Take in the beautiful foliage and incredible vistas that the region is known for, like Owl’s Head, Bretton Woods, and the historic “notches.”
Then, cross the border into Maine and travel by way of the state’s picturesque Lakes District to the coastal city of Portland, where your Tour Director will show you around.
- Pass the Portland Observatory and Fort Allen Park.
- Visit the Old Port neighborhood, filled with independent bookshops and quaint local boutiques.
Day 5: Kennebunkport & free afternoon

Travel down along the coast of Maine to the quaint fishing town of Kennebunkport.
- Pass the Wedding Cake House, an ornately trimmed house which dates back to the early 1800s.
- Cross over waterways as you enter Dock’s Square, the town’s center where you’ll find boutique shops, fresh seafood stands and restaurants, and charming colonial style homes.
- After free time continue along the coast to St. Ann’s Church and Walker’s Point Estate, the Bush family’s summer home.
Return to Portland and enjoy a free evening or add an excursion.
